Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I had put on a significant amount of weight several years ago. I entered a “Biggest Loser” pool with several people that resulted in me losing 50 pounds in 10 weeks, making me the winner of the pool and $100. I realized how much better I felt than before, so I was determined to keep the weight off. Spending several years working out at home became a boring routine. With John (BCF owner) pestering me to try it, I finally gave in, and have been hooked ever since.

Why did you become a trainer?

I enjoy helping and seeing people reach their goals and stepping outside of their comfort zone.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Deadlift

What is your favorite cheat food?

Wings and good beer; not the domestic watered down variety.

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Funny….I’ve never really thought about it, at least not in a movie/cartoon character type of way. All throughout my schooling when this question came up, my response was always about my great-grandparents. I won’t bore you with the story here. If you want to hear a quick, narrated version, feel free to ask me between workouts at the gym.
