Buckeye CrossFit is a strength and conditioning facility that develops individuals, athletes, and teams to reach elite levels of fitness through constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity.
We are located at 1000 Morrison Rd. in a 6,000 square foot gym. Our training methods produce undisputed, tangible results for all levels of fitness; from children to elite athletes, and everything in between.
Our program efficiently combines the most effective training methods of Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Power lifting and High Intensity Cardio. There isn’t a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities, and drills.
We use the Conjugate Method for our strength.
What is “Conjugate”?
In 1972, the most successful weightlifting club in history, Russian Dynamo Club, experimented by rotating 25-45 special exercises, to avoid accommodation, with great success. Thus, the Conjugate system was born. Fast forward to 1983, Louie Simmons, founder of Westside Barbell coupled the Russian Conjugate and Bulgarian systems. This created the most optimal way to strength train for Powerlifting and for all sports. This system comes from Olympic lifting and track and field, ideal platforms for CrossFit. CrossFit is constantly varied, making it a form of the conjugate system for endurance. At Buckeye CrossFit, we follow the principles of the world-renowned Westside Conjugate System that are applied to CrossFit. The system was introduced at Westside Barbell, in Columbus, Ohio, home to the strongest powerlifters in the world. But make no mistake, the Westside Conjugate System is not a system designed solely for powerlifters. It is a system that has been used with world-class success for athletes ranging from NFL players to marathon runners. It is a system easily adaptable to any sport. CrossFit is constantly varied. Constantly varied is Conjugate. A match made in heaven.
At Buckeye CrossFit we train incredibly hard; harder than most thought they were capable of. Everyday our athletes break down barriers and set new standards for themselves. Our training is intense, and it creates a bond among our members that can’t be faked or manufactured. We sweat, we bleed, we expose weaknesses and we get stronger…together. The community aspect of Buckeye CrossFit is our greatest strength. At Buckeye CrossFit there are no ego’s, no room for bad attitudes. Those type of people just don’t last here.
